Sword Art Online Fatal Bullet Star Seed Solitary Sand

This page is for (almost) all of the side quests in the game. There are 4 types: Sub Quests, Hunting Quests, Unique Enemy Quests, and Treasure Quests. The Sub Quests have no achievement tied to them, the other 3 types do. None of them are overly difficult, and they can be done late in the game when you'll be over-leveled for all of them. Most of them give credits and materials, and the game is easy enough that you don't need either of those too desperately. Quests can be taken from either the quest terminals in the Governor's Office or from the green console in your home. The one in your home is much more convenient. Your home has a terminal with most of the functions of the Governor's Office, actually.

Sub Quests

These require killing a certain type of enemy a number of times. You'll complete the vast majority of them by simply doing everything else. Since they require no extra effort, you should always take them with everything else because why not. However, there is no achievement for finishing them all, which is why I'm even going to bother listing them. If you want to do them all, the easiest way to get the harder ones (AKA where the enemies are relatively rare) is to find one by the entrance of a dungeon or teleport spot, kill it, then load that teleport point and kill it again.

Hunting Quests

These are the most annoying type of quests. Only one will appear at a time. Once you finish one, the next one appears. That means each time you finish one you have to go back to the Glocken to take the next one, then teleport back to wherever the next one is. So since there are 24 of them, you'll be teleporting back and forth 24 times. These are against "enemy players" (controlled by the AI). The only caveat is they cannot revive each other, unlike the players you randomly find running around the overworld areas. However, players move around so much that these fights can be very annoying, especially when there's a ton of terrain around like in Solitary Sands or enemies nearby that will join the fight. I would definitely recommend waiting until the end of the game to do them so you're over-leveled and they're easier. As for locations, I've grouped the quests based on location. Each set of players spawn in a specific spot in the overworld area they spawn in. They will not show up until you've taken the quest. The maps have an orange dot where they spawn, the number in () is the level of the quest.

Bounty Hunting 101 (13)
Lone Wolf and Gun (15)
A Tempestuous Fighter (17)
Ulterior Motives (20)

Teleport to the Floating Tower (where the Elite Automaton is) and head west, you'll find these behind a big rock in a corner of sorts.

A Numbers Game (21)
Identity Crisis (24)
A Dance in Twilight (27)
VR Art Imitating Life (29)

Teleport to the Ship Graveyard and head northeast to an unmarked area that has these. If you look at the map, you'll see a path east of the Graveyard that has a fork, and a path goes north. It leads to this area.

Might of the Cosmos (32)
One in the Chamber (34)
Every Dog Has His Day (34)
A Nighttime Stroll (36)
A Demon's Gaze (37)
Candy Party (40)
Bathed in Moonlight (44)

All of these are found in Old South. Teleport to the Dome, which is on the western edge of the city. These can be found on the steps on the west side of the dome.

Light and Shadow (47) - Forgotten Woods Forgotten Temple
Riding Numeric Waves (50) - Forgotten Woods Forgotten Temple

Either you can head north from the initial entrance to the zone or you can teleport to the bottom of the bridge and head southwest to find these two.

VR Escapism (52)
Solemn Atonement (55)
The Meaning of Justice (58)
A World Laid to Waste (75)
You Are Already Dead (80)
The Weight of Living (90)
Glory Beyond the Veil (99)

All of these are in the Industrial Zone in Solitary Sands. This is a teleport in the southeast portion of the map. There's a ton of enemies inside and outside of this area, and the players are inside the compound in the northern section. Getting to them (even if you teleport) and killing them will be pretty difficult unless you are super overleveled for the area, because of all the soldiers, snipers and other enemies.

Unique Enemy Quests

Unique Enemy quests involve killing Unique Enemies (surprise!), which are kind of like mini-bosses I guess. They have far more health and do far more damage than regular enemies. You don't fight most of them as part of the story. However, the ones you don't are usually a quick detour while doing the story, aside from some in high level areas. They appear in a specific place and do not have any special conditions to make them appear, they'll be there even if you don't have the quest started. However you won't get credit for killing them until you take the quest. They respawn infinitely by reloading the map. UEs that appear in the overworld areas can be respawned by moving far enough away as well. Note that the location given lists the overworld they are in, and after the / is the dungeon they are in if they are in one.

GGO's Next Top Bot (5) - Elite Automaton - Remnant Wasteland overworld - He can be found in the Floating Tower area, which is at the northern edge of the city in the middle of the zone.

Metal Menaces (15) - Metal Ahriman - Remnant Wasteland/Extinct Civilization Research Lab. At the first fork, go east to find this UE.

King of the Wastes (16) Waste Gang - Remnant Wasteland/Cave. East of the midpoint teleport.

Irrational for Rations (23) - Wanderer Eater - Remnant Wasteland overworld. Teleport to the Extinct Civilization City and head south to the mountain, and then follow the mountain west, you'll find this UE among the rocks. He wanders a bit so look around the area to find him.

A Shell of a Person (28) - Heartless Puppet - Solitary Sands overworld. Teleport to the Ship Graveyard in Solitary Sands. From where you teleport in there should be a ship on the left and a ship on the right, head past the left ship and then turn left, you'll find this guy among the boxes.

Subterranean Rogue (30) - Underworld Rogue - Solitary Sands/Underground Labyrinth. Teleport to the midpoint and go straight ahead (east). UFG up the platform and you'll find this guy. He's super short and attacks with melee. Shoot him until he gets close, then dodge away until he focuses someone else.

One-Hit Kill (31) Solo Stinger - Old South overworld. Teleport to the City Ruins East Entrance, Solo Stinger is just east of you.

Wiped Clean (33) Omni-Eraser - Old South/Subway B. Teleport to the Subway B midpoint and kill the enemies in the room north of you. Go into the west warp gate, then go into the far east warp gate. It leads to a room with this UE.

Into the Labyrinth (43) Ruins Gate - Old South/Abandoned Road. Teleport to the midpoint and head west, you'll find it in a room with a bunch of other enemies.

Cursed Crystals (45) - Cursed Rune - Old South/Subway B. Take the midpoint teleport and head north into a room, then north into the next one. You'll see an alcove north of you that doesn't appear to have a door leading to it, it's a platform with a warp gate above you. The warp gate leads to this UE.

Headhunting Worm (53) Neck Biter - Solitary Sands overworld. Teleport to the Worm's Nest and head east (past the worm boss by the teleport and up the hill), you'll find this with a few other worm enemies.

Following Orders (58) - Genocider - Solitary Sands/Underground Weapons Plant. Teleport to the midpoint. Follow the path southeast of you (don't go up the stairs by the teleport) and you'll run into this UE at the dead end.

The Worst Travel Agent (64) - Abyss Guide - Forgotten Woods overworld. Teleport to SBC Flugel Gate and head northwest to find this one roaming around.

Movers and Shakers (66) - Earthshaker - SBC Glocken/SBC Glocken Underground Ruins. Teleport to the SBC Glocken Underground Ruins Depths and this UE will be north of you. You have to fight it during the story so no extra effort needed.

Honeycombed (68) Honeycomb Maker - Solitary Sands overworld. Teleport to the Industrial Zone and head northeast. It seems to fly around quite a bit so you might have to look around the area a bit to find it.

Treasure Quests

Each treasure quest requires a specific item that can be found in a specific chest. Like UEs, they are always present. The quest completes as soon as you open the chest, so I guess you launch it into space and it falls into the house of whoever wanted it or something. If you pick up one of the treasure quest items before you take the quest, it will instantly finish after taking the quest, so you don't have to worry about getting it too early.

Top Secret Data Lost (5) Recording Media - Remnant Wasteland/Control Facility. From the entrance head east to a room with a locked door, if you turn left you'll see the chest in the corner on a box.

For Your Eyes Only (10) Cute Diary - Remnant Wasteland/Extinct Civilization Research Lab. Teleport to the midpoint and head west to the wall, then go north. When the path turns east and you go through a door, you should see the chest to the left as you move forward. It will be on a box.

Small Form, High Art (15) Ceramic Bottle - Remnant Wasteland overworld. Teleport to Extinct Civilization City and head straight west all the way to some mountains, look north and you should see a ledge you can UFG to, with this chest on it (it's a bit north of where you should run into the mountains).

Battlefield Boredom (21) Card Game - Solitary Sands/Underground Labyrinth. For some reason the path backtracking from the midpoint teleport is blocked, so we have to take the long way. Teleport to the entrance and follow the path until you UFG across a gap with a lone sniper on the other end and drop down. Instead of taking the left path, take the right one to find a chest with this.

Ever-Surprising Nature (24) Star Sand - Solitary Sands overworld. Teleport to the Oasis and head east to the water, follow the coast east and then south, you'll see the chest ahead.

Take What You Can Get (25) Sand Burdock - Solitary Sands/Lighthouse. Teleport to the midpoint and head straight north, you'll find the chest in the dead end.

Virtual Religiosity (29) Silver Goddess Statue - Old South overworld. Teleport to City Ruins East Entrance. Head south to a building, follow the wall around to the south side of this building. There's an awning with this chest you can UFG onto, it's not far off the ground.

Home Decorating (32) Golden Apple - Old South/Subway A. From the entrance head east into the big room with the boss, then follow the wall southeast, you'll eventually come to a box with this chest by it, with a small wall partially blocking the chest from view.

VR Skin Care (34) Gold Leaf - Old South/Subway B. Teleport to the depths. Head east into the warp gate, then head north, and then east into the warp gate. Use the south warp gate here (you'll have to UFG up some platforms) and head west. When you drop down, right before the alcove with the warp gate, you'll find the chest on the right.

Glass Eye (38) Glass Eye - Old South overworld. Teleport to City Ruins South Entrance. Turn left 90 degrees, you'll see a small building next to a big one. The chest is on top of the small building, on the north side.

Man's Tiny Best Friend (45) Dog Figurine - Forgotten Worlds overworld. Teleport to the initial entrance (Forgotten Woods FS-451). Turn left and jump up the cliff, then turn right. You'll see the chest.

A True Believer (45) Lunar Tear - Forgotten Woods overworld. Teleport to SBC Flugel Gate. Head north toward the Flugel and keep an eye on your left, you'll see this chest on the platform for the second big...spike thing.

Another's Happiness (48) Rainbow Flower - Forgotten Woods/SBC Flugel Bow. From the entrance go north to the second room, then east. In this next room, enter the northwest room. There's a teleporter near the middle that only appears when you stand in it, stand in it until you teleport. You'll be in the room with this.

Virtual Paleontology (48) Insect In Amber - Forgotten Woods/SBC Flugel Bow. This chest is in the first room from the entrance. It's in the northwest corner on the upper platform.

Online Penmanship (48) Feather Pen - Forgotten Woods/SBC Flugel Bow. From the entrance follow the path until you reach the fourth room. Head to the north end of the room, and you'll find it in the northeast corner.

Look at this Photograph (52) Old Photo - Solitary Sands overworld. Teleport to the Industrial Zone. As soon as you enter the west side of the compound, look for this chest around a generator (or whatever it is) south of you.

Pending Towelpocalypse (56) Soft Towel - Old South overworld. Teleport to the outside of the Outskirts Facility. Go straight forward to the edge of the cliff and follow it left. You'll run into a valley and the chest will be in front of you.

Space Shroom Stuffing (60) Space Mushroom - Forgotten Woods/SBC Flugel Depths. Teleport to SBC Flugel Depths Midpoint. Go west and you'll reach a fork, go west until you reach a hallway, go north into a room with a laser cannon. Go up the stairs nearby and the chest is on a platform above the door.

Sake's Holy Grail (60) Phantom Sake - Forgotten Woods/SBC Flugel Depths. Teleport to SBC Flugel Depths Midpoint. Go west and you'll hit a fork, go south to find a Speedy Facsimile and a chest with this.

In-Game Currency (60) Unfamiliar Coin - Forgotten Woods/SBC Flugel Depths. Teleport to the midpoint. Head north until you reach a 4-way fork. Go east and enter the warp gate. Go east and kill the enemy you come to. Look up and left, you'll see a platform you can UFG to. Aim at the wall above it instead of the platform itself or you may have trouble getting up it. Now look at the south wall and look up to find another platform to UFG to. Follow this path to a room with a chest

Scorched Legal Tender (67) - Burned Bill - SBC Glocken/SBC Glocken Underground Ruins. From the entrance head east through 2 room, when you reach a fork go south into a warp gate. On the platform with a warp gate, there's a platform above it you can UFG to that has this.

Fallen Remains (67) Dirty Dog Tag - SBC Glocken/SBC Glocken Underground Ruins. Teleport to the midpoint. Head east into a room, north through it, west across a bridge, then look under the bridge in the next room to find a chest with this.

Virtual Good Luck Charm (67) Four-leaf Clover - SBC Glocken/SBC Glocken Underground Ruins. Teleport to the depths, head south into a room with 2 cannons. Go up the ramp and look right for a chest with this.

Dead Ringer (67) Realistic Squirt Gun - SBC Glocken/SBC Glocken Underground Ruins. In the second room from the east, this chest is to the left of the east door if you're facing it.
